Good to know
Official announcements and blue posts about raids.
- Hyjal Summit and the Barrow Deeps have new tier sets and legendary rewards. Set bonuses and how to get them haven't been announced yet.[2]
- Epic items from raids add their appearance only for the player who receives the item. That differs from Bind on Pickup uncommon and rare dungeon items, whose appearance goes to everyone eligible for the loot.[3]
- The one-hour buffs Skyborne get from Skysight and Read Leyline survive death, but they're removed when you enter a raid.[4]
- Blizzard says that, apart from bugs and serious outliers, it doesn't plan big tuning changes before the raids open. Once there's enough data from players leveling past 30, it expects to do a large tuning pass.[4]

Onyxia's Lair attunement
Every raid member needs the Drakefire Amulet in their bags to enter. Pick your faction and tick off the steps you've finished.
Step 1
In the Burning Steppes, pick up “Dragonkin Menace” from Helendis Riverhorn. She then sends you on a series of six quests, all named “The True Masters,” to investigate the Black Dragonflight's influence on the Blackrock orc clan.
Step 2
The chain leads to Marshal Maxwell at Morgan's Vigil, who sends you into Blackrock Depths in “Marshal Windsor” to recover Marshal Windsor, or proof of his demise. Windsor sends you back to Maxwell in “Abandoned Hope.”
Step 3
Enemies in Blackrock Depths drop A Crumpled Up Note, which starts “A Crumpled Up Note.” Bring the note to Marshal Windsor in his cell.

Step 4
In “A Shred of Hope,” retrieve Windsor's lost information from Golem Lord Argelmach and General Angerforge. Then help him escape in “Jail Break!” and return to Marshal Maxwell.
Step 5
In “Stormwind Rendezvous,” speak with Squire Rowe at the Stormwind city gates to beckon Marshal Windsor, then gather allies to complete “The Great Masquerade.”
Step 6
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon sends you on “The Dragon's Eye” to find someone who can help. In “Drakefire Amulet,” take the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion from General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire and receive the Drakefire Amulet.

Prep · The attunement includes elite quests and several trips into high-level dungeons. Start early and bring a few friends. The amulet only needs to be in your bags; you don't have to equip it.[1]
Fire resistance gear
Onyxia uses increasingly devastating fire attacks, and the official overview says to bring fire resistance. These are the items in the item database with fire resistance that you can get before entering a raid (item level 65 or lower).

No required fire resistance value has been announced. Crafts that need materials found only inside raids, and raid loot, are left out. Only crafting professions are shown as sources.
